Liberty 4-H Sewing Project
2009-2010
Meeting 1: September 30, 2009 – 1st year sewing: start pincushions; learn how to use sewing machine; turn item inside out; stuff.
October 10, 2009 – 2nd year practice skills; retake measurements.
Meeting 2: October 21,2009 – 1st year sewing: finish pincushions; take measurements;
learn how to hand stitch and sew on button.
2nd year sewing – Thread the sewing machine; practice skills.
Meeting 3: Date TBA – field trip to fabric store. Choose fabric for PJs (and shorts for 2nd year kids).
Meeting 4: December – Date TBA – start Christmas craft; cut out PJs.
Meeting 5: January – Date TBA – Start sewing PJs.
Meeting 6: February – Date TBA - Work on PJs; Easter craft
Meeting 7: March – Date TBA – Finish PJs; Easter craft; practice for Fashion Revue.
April – Sonoma County Fashion Revue (They are still deciding the date.)
May – State Fashion Revue (If you qualify or wish to go.)
- If you do a record book, you can use the fieldtrip as a make-up meeting.
